Elisabeth Moss, best known for her roles in Mad Men and The Handmaid’s Tale, has been cast as Rosemary Kennedy in the upcoming biopic about her life, Letters from Rosemary.
Rosemary was the sister of 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and was born with learning difficulties. When she became too “difficult” for her father Joseph to deal with, he had her lobotomised, leaving her unable to speak or walk.
Elisabeth Moss, who is not disabled, will play her in the movie directed by Ritesh Batra, director of The Lunchbox.
We wonder how diverse the casting pool was for this part?
