Through registration/subscription requests to receive UNITE Magazine we begin to process your personal data to ensure the requested publication is received. Registration/subscription requests are made through personal contact with UNITE Magazine by phone, post, email, the website and face-to-face interaction, and also through our affiliates or third parties acting on our behalf. The personal data obtained is processed for receiving the requested publication, for UNITE Magazine to get in touch with you and for marketing purposes.
The personal data processing by us is the information that you provide by filling in forms on our website. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our sites, subscribing to our magazine, posting material or your request for further services. We process your data to ensure you receive the hard copy publication requested and to set up your subscription to receive this publication throughout your subscription period and within the process and handling of customer enquiries. Your personal data is then further processed to provide you with news, information and marketing communications from ourselves and authorised third-party services and partners. We may also use personal data to improve and develop our publication, website and service provided through information gathered through feedback, surveys or polls undertaken.
Personal data is held safely and securely for the duration of an individual’s magazine subscription and for approximately two years after this time unless there has been a request for the data to be removed. After this time data is either destroyed or safely archived.
- YOUR CONSENT AND YOUR CHOICES
By signing up to receive UNITE Magazine, you are agreeing to the initial processing of data which allows us to process your magazine subscription and/or allowing us to send you copies of the publication requested. The additional processing of your personal data where you receive marketing such as news, information or anything other than the hard copy publication is optional and consent can be withdrawn at any time.
UNITE Media will send you hard copy publications throughout the duration of your magazine subscription unless informed otherwise. We will also rectify and update personal data upon request. There may also be times when UNITE Media may contact you, such as if we become aware that certain data we hold is no longer correct and for any other reason regarding your magazine subscription. By subscribing to receive UNITE Magazine you are giving UNITE Media consent to contact you, you can opt-out of contact from us by letting us know and your details will be removed and subsequently destroyed. You can opt-out of email communications by using the SafeUnsubscribe found at the bottom of each marketing email received.
